Derby North first ever Squirrel Scurry

Date: 12th Oct 2023 Author: Nick Swan

On Saturday 23rd September, Derby North held their first District event at the weekend, Squirrel Scurry 2023
35 Squirrels and lots of leaders and support staff had an amazing day out!
“We’ve done a rainbow acorn walk, giant bubbles, diggers, cars and tracks, Gliders, acorn planting, Obstacle tiles, sensory area, human hippos and toasted marshmallows. We even had time for a picnic, story and a squirrel wiggle!
The team have been amazing and Squirrels have loved it!
A huge thank you to Drum Hill, Site Services and Safety Teams and also Derbyshire CASU. Thank you also to Derby North Exec for your support.
Everyone involved has been amazing, and appreciated by all!
Roll on next year!”

From the DC team, congratulations to Stacey and the team for putting on a great event and we look forward to next year with even more Squirrels scurrying around Drum Hill. – Pete and Nick
