Join as an Adult Volunteer

Want to make a real difference — and have a great time doing it?

Volunteering with Scouts is flexible, fulfilling, and fun. Whether you can spare an hour a week or a day a term, there’s a role for you. You don’t need to have been a Scout yourself, and we’ll support you every step of the way.

Ways You Can Get Involved

  • Help run a section – as part of a team, support Beavers, Cubs, or Scouts with games, activities, or badgework.

  • Share your skills – from outdoor cooking to photography, DIY to first aid, your know-how can inspire young people.

  • Join our District Team – get stuck into event planning, training, admin, fundraising or logistics. Check out our current Vacancies.

  • Become a Young Leader Mentor – guide and support young volunteers aged 14–18.

We’ll help you find a role that suits your time, interests, and skills. No pressure — just a warm welcome.
